“It’s hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember… “

Hello and welcome
Hello – I’m Tracey and thank you for visiting my website. Saying goodbye to those we love in a way which celebrates their life and achievements, honours their memory, would make them proud and provides comfort to those they have left behind is one of the hardest things we will ever have to do. All life is precious, no matter the length of time or how it has been lived, and deserves to be recognised. It is the last gift we can give to those we love. And you don’t have to do this alone.
I am proud to be more than just a celebrant – I am a Celebrant Plus Funeral Celebrant. Whether you are seeking a celebrant to conduct a funeral service, wish to commemorate someone following a direct cremation, help with writing a eulogy, planning support to design your own funeral, a bespoke service for the interment or scattering of ashes, or a beautiful farewell for a much loved pet, I can help. For me, your needs are my priority.
Funeral Celebrant Plus – what it means and why it matters
When someone dies, it’s natural to feel a whirlwind of emotions and often a sense of being completely unprepared. At a time when you’re emotionally vulnerable, you may find yourself in unchartered territory and uncertain about where to begin, especially if you’ve have never had to plan a funeral before. It can feel overwhelming, disorientating and deeply painful.
That’s where I come in — not just as a celebrant, but as a Coffin Club Celebrant Plus Funeral Celebrant. My role isn’t just about leading a ceremony — it’s about going above and beyond the script, the service, and the standard support.
Although I’ve been a qualified Funeral Celebrant since 2020 and have led hundreds of funerals, I became a Funeral Celebrant Plus in March 2024 after undertaking enhanced training through the Coffin Club. This additional certification took everything I did as a celebrant to a whole new level — giving me even more tools, more in-depth knowledge and experience to gently guide you through one of the most difficult times of your life.
What does this mean for you?
When you’re grieving, it’s hard to think clearly, to know what’s possible, what’s helpful or what to expect. You shouldn’t have to piece it all together on your own. You deserve someone who can gently hold space for you in your loss, help you plan something truly meaningful, and make sure no detail is missed.
As a Funeral Celebrant Plus I Offer:
- Empowered Choices: You’ll know all the options available to you — not just the ones the industry expects you to choose
- Emotional Support: I have additional qualifications in grief and bereavement, so I recognise where you’re at emotionally and meet you with care, not clichés
- Holistic Planning: Whether it’s a traditional cremation, a woodland burial, a ceremony at a unique venue or a celebration of life at home, I help you create a funeral that honours your loved one in a way that feels right
- Time and Space: No rushed conversations. Just thoughtful, gentle guidance at a pace that works for you
- Practical Guidance: I support you in navigating choices — from funeral director options to meaningful ceremony locations
- Creative, Alternative Options: Including home funerals, eco-burials, and bespoke, alternative ceremonies
- Clear, Compassionate Language: As I also have additional qualifications in bereavement and counselling, I’m able to support you emotionally, not just logistically
- Ongoing Support: My care doesn’t stop at the ceremony. I can signpost you to further grief support, community spaces, and healing resources.
The feedback I received from Coffin Club after my final assessment captures exactly what I strive to bring to every family I work with: “The best assignment submitted… Your attention to detail was amazing. You have put so much thought into each ceremony — creatively, logistically, practically and emotionally … Not only have you really thought about how the content can truly reflect the person who has died but also how it can be tailored to engage and support those who are attending in a meaningful way.”
Understanding and helping you through your pain points
Planning a funeral isn’t just about creating a lovely ceremony – I work with people who are often:
- Feeling lost and overwhelmed with decisions and don’t know where to begin
- Unsure what they’re “allowed” to do – is it OK to have a funeral at home? To use an alternative coffin? To skip religion altogether?
- Worried about cost, but still want something meaningful and respectful
- Navigating family dynamics or complex grief
- Needing a ceremony that actually reflects their loved one’s personality — one that feels authentic not formulaic
- Wanting to honour someone’s life with creativity, not conformity
As a Funeral Celebrant Plus, I bring the care, confidence, and creativity to ensure you’re never navigating this alone. You’ll have time, support, and guidance — and a ceremony that genuinely honours your person.
I truly believe that, when we say goodbye, the way in which we do so should be unique to that person – as unique as they are. Each element of their funeral or celebration of life should be personal to them, and connect us with them as we remember them and those left behind begin their own healing journey. There is no right or wrong way to do this. It’s what feels right for you and reflects how you want to say farewell and how you want your loved one to be remembered.
Helping you each step of the way
It would be my honour and privilege to help you and support you at such a challenging time in your life. If you would like to know more, please get in touch for a no obligation chat to see if I could be the right celebrant for you.
As well as adopting The Celebrant Accord, I am a Member of The Good Funeral Guild, a collective of like minded people working to change funerals for the better.
